Peer supporter

It can be really useful to speak to someone who knows and understands what you’re going through. Our peer supporters have experienced crime in the past, and are now committed to helping other victims.

Peer supporters offer support to victims of crime through their own lived experience, for example:

  • Offering one-to-one support by telephone, video calls or face-to-face
  • Attending group sessions to offer your lived experience and help others to cope with the effects of crime
  • Training to become a facilitator for group sessions
  • Giving support on the online forum.
  • Introductory chat with a staff member from the peer support team
  • References, identification, right to work and DBS checks
  • Get started!
  • Foundation learning
  • Information security video.
