My Support Space is a free online resource containing interactive guides aimed at helping you to manage the impact crime has had on you. It’s easy to set up an account and get access to over 70 guides. My Support Space allows you to work through the guides at your own pace.

We give free, confidential help to people who have been affected by crime in Humberside. We’re an independent charity and you can contact us for support regardless of whether you’ve contacted the police, and no matter how long ago the crime took place. You can also contact us for support regardless of your immigration status in England and Wales.

If you call your local Victim Support team, we’ll provide support that’s personalised to you. We’ll listen with compassion and help you find ways to manage and feel safer. We can also inform you of your rights and the services that you may be entitled to. If you’d like us to, we can refer you to other specialist organisations that can also help.

As well as offering support to people affected by crime, we run a number of specialist services in Humberside. These include:

Antisocial behaviour (ASB)

This service offers support and advice to victims of antisocial behaviour (ASB). It covers Hull (HU1 – HU9) and is funded by Hull City Council. If you’re experiencing ASB, you might want:

  • someone to talk to
  • help with talking to the police or the council
  • help in understanding what you can and can’t do
  • access to online or other tools to help you
  • information or advice.

Stalking

Victim Support Humberside offers support to victims who have been subjected to fixated, obsessive, unwanted, and repeated behaviour from someone else. This can be recent or have happened in the past. Our stalking service can help you to cope with your situation, take control, and start to move forward from your experiences. Access our support by calling 0300 303 1976.

Humberside

A specialist unit that cares for and supports victims of sexual assault and rape. The service is free to people over the age of 16 who live in the Humberside Police area. To book an appointment call 0330 223 0181 or email casasuite.sarc@nhs.net

Hull DAP provides a support service for victims/survivors of domestic abuse. The service is available for anyone affected by domestic abuse, regardless of their age, gender, religion, race, culture, ability, sexuality and social class.  To speak to one of the team, call 01482 318759.

This service is for anyone living in the East Riding of Hull who is experiencing or fleeing from domestic abuse. They provide advice, guidance, and support around legal options, housing, welfare benefits, staying safely at home and, in high-risk cases, finding somewhere else to stay.  Call 01482 396368 to get in touch.

Blue Door supports anyone who’s experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence in North and Northeast Lincolnshire, and those who’ve experienced rape and serious sexual offences in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. Remedi provides restorative services across all offences and at any stage of the criminal justice system. Their support is a means of addressing conflict in any setting — criminal justice, social care, schools and the workplace. Get in touch by calling 01482 347743.

South Yorkshire
