Asking for help is not easy. You may be unsure whether what you’ve experienced is a crime, or feel you will not be listened to even if it is.

In Lancashire, we provide support for victim-survivors of sexual violence, abuse and exploitation.

Sexual violence impacts not just the victim-survivor, but also their friends, family, work and relationships throughout their life.

Our support is available for adults, children aged 5+, or parents and carers of under 5s, at any time and at a pace that feels right for you. Ask us about reasonable adjustments to the way we deliver support, or communication in other languages.

Specialist support

One-to-one support for adults

Everyone is offered an initial appointment with one of our independent sexual violence advisers (ISVAs), who provide immediate and ongoing one-to-one support.

Peer support spaces

Our online peer support brings together people who have had similar experiences of sexual violence to share space, support, and understanding.

One-to-one support for children, parents and carers

Our children’s independent sexual violence advisers (CHISVAs) provide support that is tailored to the needs of each young person.

Mental health support and counselling

If you’re interested in therapy, we’ve made some recommendations of counselling services for victim-survivors of sexual violence and abuse.

Sexual assault referral centre

Sexual assault referral centres (SARCs) offer medical, practical and emotional support to anyone who has been raped, sexually assaulted or abused.

We want to ensure that anyone living with the impact of sexual violence and abuse has the opportunity to feel heard and ask for the help they need.
