Support for victims still available during new lockdown measures

4 November 2020

We recognise that those affected by crime may be worried about accessing support services during this unprecedented time, and could also feel anxiety around further delays to trials and police investigations.

We will continue to provide the face-to-face services that are currently being delivered and closely follow government advice on COVID-19 guidelines to protect service users and staff. We are also providing services remotely and we have adapted our services so that we can respond as effectively as possible within the current restrictions.

Our free and confidential Supportline (08 08 16 89 111) and live chat services remain open 24/7 and victims of crime in contact with our teams across England and Wales will continue to be supported. Anyone seeking help or information can also access our online resource, My Support Space, our secure online self-help platform for victims of crime (www.mysupportspace.org.uk/moj).

Crime, whenever it happens, can make victims feel isolated. During this challenging time, Victim Support’s message is clear: our specialist support services are still open and we are here for you whenever you need us. Get in touch.
