Today, the leading independent victims’ charity, Victim Support, announces that Diana Fawcett has been appointed as Chief Officer.

Diana has worked at the charity for three years as Operations Director, leading the development of Victim Support’s service delivery capability.

She takes over from Chief Executive, Mark Castle, who leaves the charity after nearly four years.

Victim Support’s Chair, Andrew Tivey said:

‘I am delighted to announce the appointment of Diana Fawcett as Chief Officer. She is a strong and inspiring leader and I am excited to work alongside her to continue to champion, and work with, victims of crime.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Mark for his dedication to leading and championing Victim Support over the past four years and we wish him every success in the future.’

Diana Fawcett, Chief Officer, said:

‘I feel very honoured to be chosen to lead Victim Support. We know only too well the impact and the harm caused by crimes committed against people of all ages.

‘The important work we do as an independent charity, and our commitment to be there for anyone affected by crime, no matter when it took place or whether or not it was reported is something I am very passionate about.’
