How we can help
Devon and Cornwall Victim Support is an independent service offering specialist support to those directly and indirectly affected by any type of crime and antisocial behaviour, regardless of whether it has been reported to the police and no matter how long ago it happened.
Our service is made up of:
- Antisocial behaviour service – specialist support to those who have experienced ongoing and persistent antisocial behaviour.
- Adult victim service – specialising in the impact of crime, supporting those aged over 18 and living in Devon, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.
- Stalking service – specialist practitioners in stalking related offences, supporting adults affected by domestic abuse and non-domestic abuse related stalking.
Our supporters and practitioners are specially trained and independent of the police and other services. We offer free, trauma-informed, inclusive support that is tailored to you.
We’ll listen to you, believe you and put your wellbeing first.
Our team of supporters will discuss with you how you’ve been affected by crime, and what needs you have related to the crime.
They can provide immediate support and stabilisation, including exploring our digital support options with you. They can also provide information around rights under the Victims’ Code, including how to access restorative justice.
For those needing longer-term support related to the impact of crime, the supporters work with you to create a plan that is tailored to your needs. This could include helping improve your sense of safety, your wellbeing, or connecting you with other services that may be able to help.
We’re here to listen and help you make sense of how the crime has affected you.
