Commemoration of the Westminster Bridge attack
13 January 2020
A group of victims of the 2017 Westminster Bridge attack are planning a commemoration for the third anniversary. They are supported by Westminster City Council, the Mayor of London and the Metropolitan Police.
The organisers, the Westminster Commemorations Working Group, are looking at the possibility of a plaque on Westminster Bridge to be dedicated at a commemorative service held at Westminster Central Hall at 2pm on Sunday 22nd March 2020. The service will be attended by victims, survivors, witnesses, responders and representatives of the state. After the service people will be able to meet each other informally at a reception.
The organisers appreciate that some people may not feel comfortable returning to the bridge so the plaque will be dedicated at the service and installed on the bridge a day or two later. There is an alternative place for reflection at the commemorative stone for Innocent Victims of Violence outside Westminster Abbey.
How to contact the Westminster Commemorations Working Group
If you would like to attend the commemoration, please contact the Westminster Commemorations Working Group using this email address:
Please tell them:

- if you would have any difficulties in attending and would like the Group to see if they can help.
- if you would like to contribute to the planning of the event.
- if you are experiencing ongoing difficulty as a result of the incident and would like advice on available support.
