Treasurer

Published: 17 May 2016

Job Type: Volunteer
Salary: Unpaid but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed
Location: London
Closing Date: 27 May 2016

Victim Support is a forward looking charity that is widely recognised as a world leader in developing and delivering victim and witness services that reach into all communities. We are grounded in communities across England and Wales, as well as having the strength of a national infrastructure and a well-established, award-winning volunteer network.

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to our values and a thorough understanding of financial and strategic leadership, including financial processes, structures and administration.

The treasurer will lead in assisting the Board of Trustees to monitor the organisation’s financial health, strategy and processes, and ensure that financial resources are managed responsibly. Working closely with the Director of Finance and his team, the Treasurer will act as a sounding-board in the development and implementation of reserves, cost-management and investment policies.

Demonstrable financial experience at a high level and the ability to communicate complex financial issues in plain English are both essential to the role. A recognised financial qualification is desirable, but not necessary.

Victim Support is proud to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion and a values driven charity.

The closing date for applications is Friday 27 May 2016.

To apply for this role, please send your most up to date CV and a short statement of no more than 500 words to recruitment@victimsupport.org.uk, detailing why you would like the role and what you think you could contribute to it.

Victim Support welcomes calls from Textphone users via Text Relay.

Diversity matters and we value it.
