We are recruiting a Head of HR with gravitas, commercial acumen and a consultative approach to join the business permanently. You will be expected to build key relationships with senior stakeholders, challenge ideas and champion HR, whilst managing the HR service.
The successful candidate will have a substantial track record, preferably within the contracted services environment, of successfully implementing HR strategies and practices with a focus on solutions development. You will have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage your time effectively across a significant portfolio of work.
You will be preferably educated to graduate level, hold CIPD and have a strong HR background with experience of managing HR functions in a large organisation, with a thorough knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and public sector terms and conditions of service, alongside proven practical experience of:
- Managing a remote HR team
- Using OD interventions to support organisational change
- Thinking and planning operationally and strategically
- Communicating sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people
- Knowledge and application of the computer and computer software, especially Microsoft Office and web based information systems
