Are you a communications graduate or second jobber, looking to gain experience in a busy communications team? Are you a natural multi-tasker, able to demonstrate great attention to detail even when working under pressure? If so, we want to talk to you.
Victim Support, the leading independent charity for victims and witnesses, is seeking a talented Communications Assistant to join our busy communications team handling media, digital, fundraising and stakeholder communications, to raise our profile nationally and locally and help to promote our charity.
Across England and Wales, our staff and volunteers offer free and confidential support to more than one million victims a year through our local, national and specialist services, helping many to cope and recover from crimes including homicide, domestic and sexual violence and anti-social behaviour.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, and working closely with your communications, marketing and policy colleagues, you’ll use your first class oral, written and numeric skills to support the team and ensure that news and information is distributed accurately and on time to all our internal and external stakeholders.
This is a busy and varied role, helping to monitor and distribute press coverage, prepare reports, answer and log press calls, and provide effective administrative support to the wider marketing and communications team, including some diary management. You’ll also get the opportunity to develop your skills, including learning how to create and place content that raises the profile of Victim Support, enabling us to help more victims of crime.
The closing date for applications is Friday 17 June 2016.
To apply for this role, please download the application form below and return the completed form to email@example.com by the closing date, along with your most up to date CV.
