Victim Support is looking to recruit two part-time Initial Response Officers to be based in our Worcester office, working 22.5 hours per week. Days are flexible and to be agreed with the line manager.
This role offers a first point of contact for victims of crime who call us for support, or are referred to our services by another agency. We are therefore looking for a motivated individual, who is passionate about helping people, to join our high performing Initial Response Team.

You will also identify risk and safety factors, and will support the delivery of needs by referring on to Victim Support’s Community Response Team or other appropriate external services. You will have experience of delivering a service in a statutory, voluntary, community or private social care setting and working to agreed standards and procedures.
You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will know how to deal sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrating empathy and controlling your own emotions.
On successful completion of a six-month probationary period, your salary will increase to £10,858.26 per annum (FTE £18,097.10 p.a.).
The successful applicant will need satisfactory clearance of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and Police Vetting.
