This is a temporary contract due to end on or before 30 June 2017.

The primary purpose of this role is to work with victims of domestic violence and provide high quality case work and advocacy support. You will also work productively and in partnership with the Local Authority’s domestic violence and hate crime team, police, Witness Care Unit, children’s and adult social care residential social landlords and a range of other agencies to provide support, information and advocacy to vulnerable and intimidated victims and witnesses of serious violent crime (including hate crime).
The successful candidate must be CAADA IDVA trained and have a minimum of one year’s case work experience working with and supporting victims of domestic abuse in the voluntary, community, or statutory sector. The candidate must also have knowledge and understanding of the effects of domestic violence on victims and witnesses and the legal and civil remedies available to them.
