Help using our site
This site has been designed to comply with the 'AA' priority standard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (version 1) which outline the international guidelines on accessible web design.
If you do have difficulties navigating the site, or find errors or problems in how the site works, please let us know so that we can put them right. You can use the feedback form on the left or email our webmaster.
Text only version
Use the click option on the top right hand side of all pages to switch on and off a text only version of the site. This strips out images and unnecessary formatting and should make it easier for screen readers or for people with visual impairment to use our site.
Flash Player makes our site look better
A few parts of our site use Flash Player and a technology called sIFR (scalable Inman Flash Replacement) to display fonts and to help improve the site's layout and design. If fonts or headings look strange, this should improve if you install the latest version of Flash Player on your computer.

You can also use the search function in the top right hand side of the page. Type a few words connected with what you're looking for and hit the 'go' button or press 'enter' on your keyboard to start the search.
As you move around the site you will also see a 'paper-trail' below the purple menu bar (after the words 'You are here'). Wherever you are on the site, this will show a summary of where that page sits in the site structure. Click on any of the orange text to jump up or down a level.
Links to other parts of our site and to external sites are highlighted in the text in orange. Links to external sites are also listed separately on the right hand side of the page under the heading 'Related links'. If you find a broken link you can email our webmaster to let us know. And please remember that we provide external links for your convenience only and Victim Support is not responsible for the content of external sites.
If you spot a mistake
We've taken great care in producing this site to ensure that it is accurate and free from mistakes. But if you do spot an error, please email our webteam to tell us about the problem. It helps us if you can give as much information as possible, including a link to the page where the error is and a description of what you were doing when the problem ocurred.
